FAQs
-
What is your cancellation policy?Nicole Lauren Wellness asks that you provide us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us time to offer the appointment slot to a patient on the waiting list. With the exception of illness or emergency, no-shows will be charged in full for the appointment.
-
Are there any side effects? One of the best parts of acupuncture is that, other than an occasional bruise, there are no side effects.
-
What if I am afraid of needles? When we hear the word “needles” most of us think of going to the doctor to get a shot or blood drawn. However, unlike those needles, Acupuncture needles are as thin as a hair and their insertion is virtually painless. With each new patient, Nicole explains how the treatment should feel to the patient. Upon insertion you might feel a small pick but the sensation should fade. If at any point you feel uncomfortable or a needle is painful, Nicole encourages you to speak up so that she can adjust or simply remove the needle. Nicole believes that your treatment should be relaxing and enjoyable!
-
Do you take my health insurance?Nicole does accept health insurance for patients who have acupuncture coverage. All insurance information must be verified prior to the first appointment to ensure that the patient’s individual plan does have acupuncture coverage. How many sessions will I need?Just like acupuncture treatments, this answer is not a one size fits all. Each of Nicole’s acupuncture treatments are completely individualized based on your symptoms and history. Many people report improvements after just one visit, however, based on your short or long term goals, Nicole will discuss her treatment plan for you so that you can see the results that you are looking for.
